Quotes

Our estimates are based on the sizes provided by you the customer and is subject to the following terms & conditions.

We try our best to correctly interpret plans provided by customers, however, please make sure that you thoroughly check your estimate to make sure that all the pieces required are listed as we cannot be held responsible for this. The final price may Increase or decrease following templating if additional items are requested or removed and if the initial information provided was not accurate.Please note that we cannot guarantee that a single worktop can be manufactured to a length of more than 3 metres without a joint. This will depend on the material selected.

Our fitters are not qualified to carry out any plumbing, gas, electrical or joinery work and these aspects are not covered in any of our prices. We solely install worktops and will not make any exceptions. We do have trusted tradesmen that we can put you in contact with, please let us know when requesting your quote if you require the contact details. These services will be priced directly by the trade you require and paid directly to them.

If you require special cut out requirements such as a recess drainer board, flush fitting hob or flush fitting pop up, these must be discussed at quoting stage as they require additional fabrication charges. If these are added at template stage, the additional cost will be added to your invoice.

Template & Installation

We ask for 7-day notice to schedule in for template. We will always, when possible try to accommodate late bookings however we cannot guarantee template availability before this period of time. All furniture must be completely fitted, level and secured so that no adjustments are made to the units following templating. If you require a splashback, extractor fans must also be fitted at this time. Any temporary or existing worksurfaces must be removed before templating can take place and any change requests following template must be made in writing within 48 hours of template. If we are required to return for a second template or partial template due to the above requirements not being met, this will be charged at £80+vat.

On the day of template and installation we ask that you or an authorised person is present to discuss any requirements and to sign the job sheet once the job is complete. We cannot be held responsible for any errors made during template due to the non-compliance of this request. We also request that all items requiring cut out to be present on the day of template. Depending on the specification of these items, the templater may ask to bring these away with him so that they can scanned by the CNC machines for fabrication. These items will be returned at installation and must be thoroughly checked by you, with our fitter for any damage. Melrosa will not be held responsible for any damage noticed after this point.

Special specifications e.g. recess drainer board, under counter lighting groove, flush fitting hob or flush fitting pop up must be made clear to the templater, even in the case that these have already been quoted for. If requested, we can offer AM or PM Slots for templating and installation appointments however, as we work all over the UK, we cannot guarantee times and this can be subject to change. Due to our line of work, template and installation dates may also be changed if we are experiencing some difficulty and we will always contact you at our soonest opportunity to discuss this. Where possible, Melrosa will honour the turnaround from your initial templating date and this will be discussed at contact. We cannot be held responsible for any time/days taken off work due to this. Similarly, we cannot be held responsible for any additional costs occurred from trades due to any delays. We would advise scheduling return trades once the worktops have been installed to avoid these kind of issues.

Our turnaround from template to installation is 5-7 working days and this can fluctuate to 7-10 working days during busy periods. Please ask when booking in template for the current lead time. Porcelain worktops, mitred built up worktops and detailed edge profile kitchens have a turnaround of 10-12 working days. Although we will always try our best to stick to these time scales, they are based on an average and cannot always be adhered to. We require clear working areas free of hazards with no interference from other trades. There should be no clutter or other hindrances when our fitters arrive on site. We cannot take responsibility for any damage when carrying in worktops. Fitting must be thoroughly checked by you, along with our fitter and any damage must be noted at this point.

Payment

We require a 50% deposit payment to place your order and schedule in template. We will at this point, order in your chosen material for all non-stock orders. Any material changes made after deposit payment, could be subject to a re-stocking fee.

Remaining balance is then due on the day of installation. For installations completed after 4pm, payment will be accepted the following day. Material fitted remains property of Melrosa Marble and Granite ltd until full payment has been received and we reserve the right to remove our product if payment is not received in full. In the case that we have to revisit to complete installation due to our error or to carry out a remedial, we will still request the remaining balance on the day of installation, however £100 will be held from your balance to be paid on completion.
